Globalization has brought fundamental changes to the dynamics of Islamic thought in Indonesia, creating tensions between traditional values and modernity. This study aims to analyze Islamic thought responses to globalization and their implications for socio-cultural change in contemporary Indonesian Muslim society. Using a qualitative approach with literature study and critical discourse analysis methods, this research examines the works of prominent Indonesian Islamic thinkers from 2015 to 2024. The results indicate that Indonesian Islamic thought develops three response patterns: selective adaptation, critical resistance, and transformative synthesis. These patterns reflect efforts to recontextualize Islamic teachings in the face of globalization challenges without abandoning theological essence. It is concluded that Indonesian Islamic thought demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability through the wasatiyyah (moderation) approach, thus able to respond to contemporary challenges while maintaining authentic Islamic identity.
