Copyright and Licensing

Authors who publish in the Journal of Islamic Literature and Civilization agree to the following terms:

Authors retain copyright of their scholarly work and grant the journal the right to be the first publisher of the work, which is simultaneously licensed. This license allows others to share the work with appropriate acknowledgment of the authorship and the original publication in this journal.

Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), provided that they acknowledge its initial publication in this journal.
