Journal History and Profile

Journal of Islamic Adab and Civilization is an academic journal published by CV. JK Riset Publishing Group, Indonesia, with publications in three languages: Indonesian, Arabic, and English. Established in 2025, this peer-reviewed journal serves as a scholarly platform focusing on the development of research, thought, and academic exploration related to the intellectual legacy and civilization of Islam.

Philosophy of “Adab and Islamic Civilization”

In the Islamic intellectual tradition, the term Adab extends beyond ethics or politeness. It refers to a structured moral order, wisdom, and disciplined knowledge in human life. Meanwhile, civilization reflects the highest achievement of knowledge, encompassing art, spirituality, and social systems imbued with the values of tawḥīd (the oneness of God). Accordingly, the journal’s philosophical foundation lies in the unification of adab as an internal value and civilization as the outward manifestation of living knowledge.

The journal aspires to present studies that are not only intellectually rigorous but also spiritually and socially grounded bridging classical Islamic scholarship with the challenges of modernity. Adab provides the direction for knowledge, while civilization shapes the realization of these values in society. By embracing this ethos, Journal of Islamic Adab and Civilization positions itself as a scholarly arena that promotes value-based knowledge, rooted in tradition yet open to contemporary dynamics.
