Editorial SOP

  1. Purpose

          This SOP aims to ensure that the editorial process is transparent, accountable, and in accordance

         with the standards of scholarly publishing ethics.

  1. Editorial Stages

      Submission

  • Authors upload manuscripts through the OJS system.
  • Manuscripts are checked for relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.
  • Initial screening includes format, journal style, and plagiarism (maximum 20%).

       Desk Review

  • Editors conduct an initial selection (desk reject if not suitable).
  • Maximum duration: 7 days.

       Peer Review

  • Manuscripts that pass the desk review are sent to two independent reviewers (double-blind review).
  • Reviewers assess novelty, methodology, and scholarly contribution.
  • Review duration: 2–4 weeks.
  • Review outcomes: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.

       Editorial Decision

  • Editors make decisions based on reviewers’ feedback.
  • Decisions are communicated to authors along with reviewers’ notes.
  • Maximum duration: 7 days after review completion.

       Copyediting

  • Accepted manuscripts enter the copyediting stage.
  • Focus on language, journal style, and reference consistency.
  • Duration: 1 week.

       Proofreading

  • Authors recheck the results of copyediting.
  • Final corrections are made before production.
  • Duration: 3–5 days.

       Production & Publication

  • Articles are formatted according to the journal template.
  • Each article is assigned a DOI.
  • Articles are published in scheduled issues.
  1. Rejection Policy
  • Desk Reject: if the manuscript does not fit the journal’s scope or violates publication ethics.
  • Rejection After Review: if the manuscript does not meet scholarly quality standards.
  • Acceptance rate is maintained at a maximum of 70–80% to ensure quality.
  1. Publication Ethics
  • The journal follows COPE Guidelines.
  • Authors must submit a statement of originality.
  • Reviewers and editors maintain manuscript confidentiality.
  • Plagiarism above 20% will result in rejection.
  1. Estimated Timeline
  • Desk Review: 7 days
  • Peer Review: 2–4 weeks
  • Editorial Decision: 7 days
  • Copyediting: 1 week
  • Proofreading: 3–5 days
  • Production: 1 week
  1. Transparency
  • Editorial statistics (submission, acceptance, rejection) are displayed on the OJS dashboard.
