Bakti Masyarakat: Community Service and Empowerment Journal is a multidisciplinary scientific journal that publishes the results of community service activities oriented toward real impact and sustainable empowerment. This journal focuses on collaborative practices between academics and communities in addressing social, economic, educational, environmental, and local spiritual issues.

The journal’s focus is directed at capacity building, social transformation, and problem-solving based on local wisdom and participatory approaches.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Empowerment in family education, schools, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and learning communities
  • Development of micro-economy, cooperatives, integrated farming, and home industries
  • Strengthening character values, spirituality, and community social ethics
  • Innovations in environmental management, sanitation, and food security
  • Counseling and training for mental health, parenting, and healthy lifestyles

Aims and Philosophy

The name “Bakti Masyarakat” reflects the sincere dedication of academics in fostering, accompanying, and serving society through knowledge and applicable solutions. “Bakti” signifies devotion rooted in the heart, while “Masyarakat” represents both the object and the true partner in the empowerment process.

This journal aims to become a scientific documentation forum that not only presents activity reports but also voices reflective practices, transformative approaches, and innovative models of service rooted in values, participation, and sustainability.
